Foreign minister in discussions with representatives of European Movement in Denmark
We look to the future with great optimism and, in light of the solid partnership we have with Denmark, we hope to constantly advance in our EU accession process. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi made the statement today, who had a meeting with Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova in the Kingdom of Denmark Asser Mortensen, and with representatives of the European Movement in Denmark – a pro-European civic organization that supports democratic values and European integration.
Popșoi highlighted the excellent relations between Moldova and Denmark and mentioned his recent visit to Copenhagen, where he had a productive meeting with his Danish counterpart, Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
The foreign ministry noted in a press release that the representatives of the European Movement in Denmark expressed the appreciation for the European path of the Republic of Moldova and the interest in the socio-political developments in the country.
Furthermore, ways to deepen economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries were discussed, focusing on promoting tourism, educational exchanges, and mutual cultural presence.
Popșoi paid an official visit to Denmark on May 12-13, 2025.
