Moldovan PM conveys message on Public Servant's Day

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu today delivered a message on the occasion of Public Servant’s Day. The official thanked all employees in the public service for the work they do, day by day, in the service of citizens.

Alexandru Munteanu emphasized that public servants contribute to the proper working of state institutions through the decisions they make and through the way they fulfill their responsibilities.

“Dear public servants, on Public Servant’s Day, I want to thank you for the work you do, day by day, in the service of citizens. Through the decisions you make and the way you carry out your responsibilities, you contribute to the proper functioning of public institutions. For many citizens, trust in state institutions starts with the encounter they have with you. That is why, every answer, every solution, and every gesture of respect matters,” said Prime Minister Munteanu.

The PM noted that public administration was undergoing changes that require greater involvement, adaptability and responsibility.

“Thank you for being part of this process and for fulfilling your duty with professionalism and good faith. We want a modern, efficient administration that is close to the people. And this depends, first and foremost, on those who work in the public service and represent the state in its day‑to‑day relationship with citizens,” the prime minister concluded.

The Public Servant's Day has been marked annually on June 23 since 2012. Globally, the International Public Service Day was established by the United Nations in 2003.
