Parliament to review Constantin Borosan's candidacy for ANRE leadership

Constantin Borosan is set to be proposed to the Parliament plenary for the position of director of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), having achieved the highest score following the public contest organized by the Economy, Budget and Finance Commission.

According to commission members, out of the eight candidates admitted to the interview stage, Borosan stood out due to his professional preparation and experience in the energy sector.

According to his CV, Constantin Borosan holds a degree in energy and environment and is currently pursuing doctoral studies. He has benefited from professional training courses in Italy and the United States. Since 2023, he has been serving as State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, overseeing key areas such as electricity, natural gas, petroleum products, thermal energy, cogeneration, energy infrastructure, and energy security.

Previously, between 2021 and 2023, he served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, and between 2020 and 2023, he worked as a scientific researcher at the Institute of Energy. He also has over 12 years of academic experience as a university lecturer at the Technical University of Moldova.

The ANRE Board of Directors consists of five directors appointed by Parliament following a public competition.
