Speaker Igor Grosu participated on 23 June in the Festival 'Neam purtat în fir de dor', organized in the village of Chetrosu, Drochia district, on the occasion of the Day of Traditional Costume. The event brought together folk ensembles from the region, traditional craftsmen, and local producers.

The official expressed admiration for the diversity and authenticity of the traditional Moldovan costume, worn proudly by the participants.

'Only a people who preserve their language, history, and traditions have a future. We, Moldovans, have what to boast about: we have the traditional blouse, folk songs, and dances. It is important that wherever we are, we wear them with pride,' stated Grosu.

In addition to cultural activities, he discussed with residents, entrepreneurs, and traditional craftsmen about community issues and development projects. He mentioned that in recent years, through the European Village Program, 14 km of street lighting have been built in Chetrosu, and the House of Culture has benefited from rehabilitation works. Moreover, in the second phase of the program, the kindergarten in the locality will be modernized.

'We are a beautiful nation here in the north, as in the whole country. The best way to protect our nation and traditions is where they are celebrated, not destroyed - in the European Union, a big family where diversity is protected and encouraged,' emphasized Igor Grosu.
