Over 17 million lei have been allocated by the Government for the completion of the water supply system in 11 villages in Hâncești district, as part of Budget +PLUS. The project, which began in 2010, will be finalized after 15 years of waiting, ensuring access to drinking water for the localities of Obileni, Cotul Morii, Sărăteni, Leușeni, Feteasca, Nemțeni, Cățeleni, Ivanovca, Onești, Strâmbeni and Bujor. Prime Minister Dorin Recean made the statement today.

He also inspected the modernization works on R33 Hâncești–Leușeni national road, in the village of Onești. The locality already benefits from a road rehabilitated to European standards, with a drainage system, modern sidewalks and waiting stations.

According to authorities, the R33 road will be modernized over a length of 37 kilometers, between the city of Hâncești and Leușeni border, crossing eight localities with a total population of over 21,000 people.

Investments in road infrastructure and water systems are part of Budget +PLUS program, through which the Government has allocated one billion lei for the rehabilitation of 200 km of regional roads and local roads in about 100 localities. Additionally, 230 projects are underway for the development of urban and rural communities, including modern agricultural markets.
