On International Day of Families, Speaker Igor Grosu conveyed a message highlighting the PAS government's commitment to supporting families in the Republic of Moldova. The official presented a summary of the initiatives implemented over the past four years, aimed at supporting families and ensuring better living conditions.
“Today we celebrate the family – a beautiful symbol of unity, hope, and future. We want as many happy families as possible in the Republic of Moldova, living in prosperity,” wrote Grosu.
Among the most important measures presented by the official are: the creation and renovation of 40 groups and 137 kindergartens through the European Village program; providing Easter Assistance to over 230,000 people, including families with young children and those with disabled members; increasing the one-off childbirth allowance to 21,350 lei; providing a monthly allowance of 1,000 lei for children under two years; extending free meals in schools; adopting a law on alternative child care services, including at the workplace; financial support for mothers returning to work earlier; extending paternity leave and introducing flexible working hours; energy and heating compensations for the cold season.
Additionally, the speaker reiterated the launch of the First Home PLUS program, which offered more than 2,000 families the opportunity to purchase their home.
Igor Grosu concluded the message by wishing health, peace and happiness to all families in the Republic of Moldova.
