Moldovan Prime Minister in Hâncești

In the last three years, about 220 million lei have been allocated in Hâncești district to implement 57 projects through the European Village Program. The resources have been invested in the modernization of educational institutions, expansion of water, sewage, and street lighting networks, as well as implementation of cultural and environmental projects. The achievements were presented during Prime Minister Dorin Recean's visit to Hâncești.

"Water and sewage networks, renovated kindergartens, street lighting, sports fields, cultural or environmental projects are just a few examples that show our care for the people of Hâncești," he said.

The official met in Hâncești with mayors and representatives of decentralized services.

"I discussed with the mayors and representatives of the decentralized services the massive financial aid provided by the European Union for economic growth and how we can unite our efforts to spend this money efficiently, transparently and to quickly bring benefits to the daily lives of the residents," said the Prime Minister.

He added that in the +PLUS Budget, recently approved by the government, an additional 1 billion lei have been allocated for the repair of about 200 km of regional roads and 1 billion lei for local roads in about 100 localities. The document also includes development projects in our villages and towns, agricultural markets, and infrastructure modernization. Additionally, an extra 200 million lei have been allocated for the modernization of canteens and an additional 100 million lei for important environmental projects, through which 130 localities will be able to purchase equipment for waste collection.

"Our priority is to maintain the same pace, to transform our localities into clean, safe and modern ones," concluded the Prime Minister.

Recean is paying a working visit today to Hâncești district. He will inspect the progress of the rehabilitation of the R33 Hâncești - Leușeni road and the implementation of the project that provides drinking water supply to 11 villages in the district.
