Prime Minister voted in parliamentary elections

Prime Minister Dorin Recean, together with his wife voted today in the parliamentary elections. The official stated after leaving the polling station that 'honest voting is Moldova's strength' and urged all citizens to participate in the elections.

Dorin Recean emphasized that there will not be runoff elections, and that is why it is important for citizens to mobilize today and cast their votes. The official added that 'nobody can buy, sell, or conquer our country if we all come out to vote.'

'Honest voting is the power of the citizens, it is the power of Moldovans, and today we must vote massively. Person by person, vote by vote, we protect the peace and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova. Nobody can buy, sell, or conquer our country if we all come out to vote. This is what we must do wherever we are: in the north, south, center, in Rome, or in Bucharest, Paris, Berlin, or Madrid, the power lies in the honest vote, in our fair vote. We all come out to vote. There will not be runoff election, which is why it is important to come out to vote. Honest voting, free voting, fair voting is the power of the country, it is the strength of Moldova. The most important thing is for citizens to express their vote freely and honestly,' he said.

The prime minister’s wife, Stela Recean, said she 'voted with peace in mind, for our children, and for the future of this country.'

'The freedom to choose is not a gift that we have forever. We must defend it through voting. With this vote today, I vote for a free Moldova, where every citizen feels free, thinks freely, and can express vote freely. I believe in an independent Moldova, where our children will grow up in peace and prosperity,' Stela Recean said.

Parliamentary elections are being organized today in the Republic of Moldova. The voting procedure began at 7:00 AM and will end at 9:00 PM. During the elections, citizens can vote in 2,274 polling stations opened across the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova and abroad.
