President of Moldova's Action of Solidarity Party says electoral process continues abroad, calls for showing vigilance until votes are counted
The president of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Igor Grosu, has sent a call for calm and vigilance immediately after the polling stations closed in Moldova. He urged the Diaspora citizens to go to vote.
Igor Grosu said that the electoral process outside the country was still ongoing and urged the Diaspora citizens to take advantage of the hours left before polling stations close to exercise their right to vote.
“I take this opportunity to address Moldovans abroad: use the time you have at your disposal and go vote for the future of Moldova,” said Grosu.
In addition, the PAS leader asked the members of the bureaus of polling stations to stay vigilant throughout the day, including during the vote-counting process.
Igor Grosu thanked all citizens of Moldova, both those in the country and those abroad, for their involvement and responsibility, emphasizing the importance of maintaining calm and stability.
“Our law-enforcement institutions will do everything necessary for the elections to take place in peace and order. I convey to political actors to think first of the citizens and the future of this country, not party interests,” Grosu stressed.
He added that more details would be made public once the official results are unveiled by the Central Electoral Commission.
