Over 200,000 Moldovan citizens vote in Diaspora; countries with highest turnout

Over 200,000 citizens of Moldova who live abroad voted at the polling stations opened overseas for the parliamentary elections by 17:15.

According to real-time voting turnout data published by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the highest number of citizens present at the polls was recorded in Italy, where over 62,000 people exercised their right to vote.

The list is followed by Germany, with approximately 30,000 Moldovan citizens voting.

In the neighboring country, Romania, almost 24,000 citizens voted, in France - 19,000, and in the United Kingdom - about 18,000 citizens.

At the same time, in the Russian Federation, around 3,400 voters cast their ballots at the two voting stations, which together have a total of 10,000 ballots.

A number of 301 polling stations were set up abroad for the 2025 election, four of which are meant for postal voting.
