Chisinau, 12 December /MOLDPRES/ - A new education room, Classroom of the Future, today was opened at the headquarters of the N. Tretiakov Theoretical Lyceum from Comrat, Autonomous Territorial Unit (UTA) of Gagauzia. The subjects are taught in the Russian language at the lyceum and about 780 pupils study there. The institution also received a new school bus, donated by the government of Romania, for the carriage of children who come to school from other settlements.
The N. Tretiakov Lyceum, which is beneficiary of the Internet Gigabit for your school, programme, which provides highly advanced connection to Internet, due to the partnership with StarNet, from now on will have a modern education room, endowed with advanced technologies, meant to transform the process of learning and teaching. With the help of drones, sets of electric circuits, Arduino, PocketLab digital laboratories, ozobots. 3D printers, digital microscope and VR spectacles, the pupils will learn exact disciplines much more interactively and practically. This equipment allows the integration of innovating practices in education.
„I am happy that, along with our friends from Romania, we have managed to make available a school bus. This year, 69 buses were bought for schools of the country with the support of Romania and one bus was provided to the Nicolai Tretiakov Theoretical Lyceum from Comrat,’’ Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun said.
The launch of the new room, Classroom of the Future, at the N. Tretiakov Lyceum was possible due to the cooperation between the Education and Research Ministry, local authorities, Future Technologies Activity in Moldova Project (Innovate Moldova), financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Moldova, Sweden (Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau) and the United Kingdom (UK in Moldova - British Embassy Chisinau) and Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund and the coordination of the National Centre for Digital Innovations in Education, Classroom of the Future.
