As many as 229 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova
Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,324 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 229 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Four out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 374,349 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 2 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (1 physician, 1 medical assistant).
As many as 650 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 105 are in extremely serious condition and 20 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.
In the context, 2,085 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 10,792 are under supervision at home.
Another 293 people have been treated. As many as 360,211 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,605 people have died of coronavirus in all.
