
As many as 627 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,868 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 627 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, by 100 more than on 15 September. As many as 44,367 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to the secretary general at the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), Constantin Rimis, presently, there are 10,470 active cases in Moldova. Thirty seven out of all cases are medical employees: 10 physicians, 19 medical assistants and 8 auxiliary staff employees.
The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 564 are in serious condition, of whom 38 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus.
Another 439 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 32,732 persons have been healed of COVID-19.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,159 people dead of this virus in all.
