
European Commissioner for Energy and Housing to visit Moldova
European Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jørgensen will pay a working visit to Moldova on 5 June.
According to the EU Delegation to Chișinău, the visit will begin with a trip to one of the vulnerable households benefiting from energy efficiency renovation works, supported by European programs. The interventions will help the family reduce heating bills and electricity consumption.
The European Commissioner will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister Dorin Recean, and will approach key topics regarding the European integration of the Republic of Moldova. Throughout the visit, the Commissioner will also participate in the sixth high-level meeting of the Moldova-EU Energy Dialogue, an essential framework for strategic cooperation in the energy sector.
The Commissioner's agenda will conclude with a visit to a rural business, which has developed with the EU support through the adoption of modern technologies.
