EcoContact association of Moldova launches fourth round of environmental justice grants programme

The EcoContact NGO announces the launch of the fourth round of the Small Grants Programme (SGP4), aimed at non-governmental organizations active in the field of environmental justice. The grants are provided within the project, Active Citizens for a Healthy Environment and Green Justice, implemented with the financial support of Sweden.

The programme targets NGOs operating in the districts of Edinet, Rascani, Calarasi and Anenii Noi, encouraging initiatives that contribute to environmental protection, proper enforcement of environmental laws and citizens’ involvement in local decision-making processes.

‘Eligible organizations can apply for grants worth up to 100,000 lei – for NGOs with at least one completed project and activities lasting a maximum of three years (a minimum of 5 per cent own contribution); grants of up to 375,000 lei – for organizations with at least three projects completed in the last five years (a minimum contribution of 10 per cent). Projects can have a duration from six to 12 months, with the final implementation deadline in August 2026,’’ EcoContact said.

The deadline for submitting applications is September 5, 2025. Applications are to be submitted exclusively in electronic format, in Romanian, to the address grant@ecocontact.md.  Only proposals that meet the requirements specified in the Guide applicable to the fourth round will be accepted.

To support the application process, an online information session will be organized on July 29, 2025, at 11:00. Registration is done via the information session registration form. Complete details, including eligibility criteria, types of supported activities and standard forms can be requested by email or downloaded from the EcoContact’s website.
