Admission to Moldova's higher education institutions starts on July 21; platform for online submission of applications improved

The admission to universities starts on July 21 and will last until July 27. Applications can be submitted through the platform http://eadmitere.gov.md, which has been improved.

The news of this year's admission session was discussed at a meeting organized by the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), with the participation of pro-rectors of higher education institutions, admission committee secretaries and technical operators.

According to the MEC, in 2025, the online admission platform has been improved, in order to be more straightforward for submitting application files through automated data retrieval about candidates from other state registers. At the same time, all candidates will authenticate in the system via MPass - which means they will need an electronic or mobile signature to submit their application.

Compared to last year, in this admission session, applications can be submitted on the www.eadmitere.gov.md platform for both undergraduate and master's degree programs.

This year, for the first time, universities will offer places for dual education programmes, as well as for representatives of the Moldovan Diaspora abroad.

Present at the meeting, Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun reiterated the need to ensure a fair and easy process for all candidates for higher education and encouraged universities to actively get involved to eliminate all obstacles identified at this stage.

After the main admission session, held from July 21-27, a supplementary session will be held on August 13-15. The final results for the first round will be posted on August 12, and for the second round on August 24.

In 2025, the Ministry of Education and Research allocated 8,712 budgetary places in higher education institutions of Moldova. Admission will be made in 25 general fields, with the most budgetary places reserved for the field of Educational Sciences – 2020 places (23 per cent).
