Moldova to participate in European projects for creation of jobs, support for vulnerable groups
The cabinet of ministers has approved a mechanism that will facilitate access to European funds meant for reducing unemployment, improving quality of jobs and promoting social innovation. It is about the Regulation on Moldova’s participation in the Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) component of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
The Regulation sets out the conditions, principles and stages of participation in the projects under the EaSI Component; the actions and areas eligible for funding; the eligibility conditions for entities' participation in projects; the forms of financing, etc.
With the document's approval, legal entities of Moldova become eligible to participate in calls for proposals launched by the European Commission, under the same conditions as those from member states.
‘’This is a project that helps us enhance the care for vulnerable groups in society,’’ said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
The EaSI component is a European Union programme with a total budget of 762 million euros for the period 2021–2027. It supports projects in such areas as combating unemployment, labor mobility, social inclusion and improving working conditions. Participation in the programme provides access to non-reimbursable grants, support for the development of social services and opportunities for transnational cooperation.
