Moldovan president meets Romania's Minister of Investments and European Projects

The Presidency of the Republic of Moldova

President Maia Sandu today met Romania's Minister of Investments and European Projects Dragoș-Nicolae Pîslaru. The head of state expressed her gratitude for the support provided by Romania in developing key sectors of the national economy and in supporting the European path of Moldova.

During the meeting, President Maia Sandu highlighted the importance of strengthening the cooperation between Chisinau and Bucharest, especially in the context of Moldova's accession process to the European Union and the experience gained by Romania in this process.

An important topic of the discussion was the need to accelerate the implementation of strategic interconnection projects, such as the construction of new bridges over the Prut River and the completion of the Balti–Suceava and Straseni–Gutinas power lines, as well as reducing waiting times at the border crossing points between Moldova and Romania.
