
Moldovan, Lithuanian defense ministers signed bilateral cooperation plan
Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/- Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii and Lithuanian counterpart Arvydas Anušauskas signed a 2022 bilateral co-operation plan in Chisinau today.
The signing of the document took place at a meeting between the two officials. They discussed the defense reform and development priorities of the National Army, the progress made in achieving the established bilateral cooperation, as well as the development prospects of this partnership in the context of European integration.
The agenda also included topics on the country's leadership's priority security and defense objectives, politico-military issues, participation in international peacekeeping operations, and bilateral military cooperation and regional security.
Arvydas Anušauskas pays an official visit to Moldova on November 3-5. The agenda of the visit includes working meetings at the Parliament, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, as well as with some representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited in Chisinau.
The Republic of Moldova and Lithuania have been cooperating in the military since 2000.
