Moldovans from around world gather in Chișinău for Diaspora Congress
The most important event of the year dedicated to the diaspora – the Diaspora Congress – is taking place today at the Palace of the Republic in Chișinău. The event has reached its 11th edition.
Every year, the Congress brings together Moldovans from around the world to share ideas, discuss the future of the Republic of Moldova, and identify ways to actively engage in the country's development.
Topics under discussion at the Diaspora Congress include European integration; civic activism and the fight against disinformation; young people in the diaspora – the leaders of tomorrow; diaspora involvement in local development; and Moldovans in the diaspora as cultural ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova worldwide.
The official opening of the event will take place at 10:00 a.m.
The Diaspora Congress is organized by the Diaspora Relations Office, with the support of GIZ Moldova, UNDP Moldova and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
