Deputy Prime Minister, UNDP Moldova Head discussed support projects for country reintegration and community development
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Roman Roșca met today with UNDP Resident Representative to Moldova Daniela Gasparikova to discuss the projects conducted with the organization's support and their impact on the country's reintegration process.
The discussions focused on initiatives that contribute to sustainable development and the strengthening of community resilience on both banks of the Dniester River. Roman Roșca highlighted the importance of UNDP projects in promoting confidence-building measures, noting their contribution in areas such as environmental protection, energy efficiency, human rights observance and social initiatives. These projects support sectoral reintegration policies and contribute to reducing disparities between the two banks of the Dniester.
For her part, Daniela Gasparikova reconfirmed UNDP's commitment to continuing existing projects, further developing them, and supporting new initiatives aimed at improving citizens' living conditions, solving socio-economic issues and strengthening social cohesion at the national level.
The officials reiterated the need to maintain constant coordination with the Reintegration Policy Office on activities and projects targeting the Security Zone and eastern districts of the Republic of Moldova.
