Spokesman for Presidency says Moldova neutral country, to remain so
The Presidency warns about the emergence of false information in the public space regarding alleged ‘’agreements to send troops’’ to Ukraine to fight against the Russian Federation. The institution warns citizens that this information is false and aims ‘’to scare people.’’
In the context, the spokesperson for the Presidency, Igor Zaharov, emphasized that Moldova was a neutral country and would remain so.
‘’Please, let's be careful. Even on these days, falsehoods continue to be launched on Telegram, in order to scare people and sow distrust. Moldova is a neutral country and will remain so. All stories about alleged agreements to send troops are blatant lies. Let's not be deceived – our truth and unity are our best defense,’’ said Igor Zaharov.
Authorities also urge citizens to get information only from official sources and to report false content.
