
Salaries of several categories of state employees to rise in 2025
Chisinau, Jan. 1 /MOLDPRES/- Government has planned an increase in incomes and salaries for several social categories for 2025. In total, the wage package will see an increase from 25 billion lei to 30 billion lei.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced earlier that more than 50 thousand teachers, educators and researchers will benefit from a salary increase of about 9% this year.
The salaries of Interior Ministry employees will also increase by 9%. Police officers, border guards, rescuers, firefighters, employees of the National Probation Inspectorate and the Penitentiary Administration will receive higher salaries.
In the health sector, salaries will rise by about 15%. 51,000 people in the compulsory health insurance system and 13,000 doctors, forensic experts, medical assistants and nurses employed by the state will benefit from the increases.
The national minimum wage will rise from 5,000 to 5,500 lei. This increase will benefit at least 33 thousand employees in the public and private sectors.
The government will also provide support for 1992 war veterans. Their monthly allowance will rise to 1,610 lei and they will benefit from more facilities.
