Attempted murder in north Moldova settlement: victim transported to hospital in unconscious condition
A 72-year-old man has been transported to hospital in an unconscious condition following a violent incident in a building in Falesti. The case occurred last night, and the police are investigating it as a possible attempted murder.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place in a pub located on the premises of the bus station, where a conflict broke out between a 19-year-old young man and a 72-year-old man and quickly escalated into violence.
The victim was found unconscious at the scene and urgently transported to the Falesti District Hospital, where he is receiving medical care.
The suspect, a 19-year-old man, was detained by police directly at the scene. Tests established that he was in an advanced state of ebriety.
According to the police, the report was made by the suspect’s mother, and law enforcement officers will also verify possible information on his mental health problems.
The case is being investigated as crime of attempted murder, and the police are continuing actions to establish all circumstances of the incident.
