Teachers from Moldova applauded in Parliament

Teachers, educators, and other employees in the education system were congratulated and applauded today during a plenary session of Parliament, in the context of World Teachers’ Day, observed annually on October 5.

Speaker Igor Grosu delivered a congratulatory message to teaching staff and everyone working in the field of education.

“Dear teachers, educators, principals, librarians, educational psychologists, and speech therapists, we extend our congratulations to everyone employed in the education system!” Igor Grosu said.

The Speaker highlighted the role of teachers in shaping several generations and noted that the authorities aim to contribute to the development of a strong education system.

“You are the ones who guide entire generations through the honorable mission you carry out, and we here commit to building a strong education system together with you,” Igor Grosu said.

According to him, society wants modern schools, high schools, colleges, and universities, while teaching staff should be able to carry out their work without worrying about the future and with the feeling that their efforts are appreciated.

“We all want modern schools, high schools, colleges, and universities. We all want teachers and educators to go home after a day of work without worrying about tomorrow, but also with the peace of mind that their work is appreciated and valued by dozens of generations,” the Speaker added.

At the end, Igor Grosu thanked the teaching staff for their work and wished them a “Happy Teachers’ Day.”
