VIDEO // Drone fragments detected in more settlements of Moldova; police investigate explosions reported
More residents of the Causeni, Stefan Voda, Anenii Noi and Hancesti districts today morning reported explosions in areas outside several localities, Moldova’s General Police Inspectorate (IGP) reports.
According to the police, at 7:50, law enforcement officers from Causeni were notified of an explosion outside the town of Causeni, where dense smoke was noticed. Drone fragments were found at the scene.
Drone fragments were also found near the settlements of Dubovca and Hancesti.
Another incident was reported near the locality of Crocmaz, Stefan Voda district. An explosion occurred in a vineyard near an agricultural brigade. The incident sparked a vegetation fire and the windows of the brigade’s building were damaged. No casualties were reported.
Drone fragments were also discovered in the Anenii Noi district, between the localities of Delacau and Puhaceni.
Police are at the scene documenting all the cases, while the circumstances surrounding the incidents will be established.
Law enforcement officers urge citizens to avoid areas where explosions have been reported and not to touch or approach suspicious objects or fragments.
If they spot such objects, citizens are urged to immediately call the emergency service at 112.
