DOC // Two honorary consuls of Moldova awarded Order of Honour
The honorary consuls of Moldova in Brazil and Denmark, Flavio Mendes Bitelman and Asser Mortensen, have been awarded the Order of Honour. The distinctions were presented by President Maia Sandu.
According to the decrees, Flavio Mendes Bitelman, Honorary Consul of Moldova in the Federative Republic of Brazil, was awarded the distinction for his contribution to the development of Moldovan-Brazilian friendship and cooperation, as well as to the promotion of the economic, cultural and tourism potential of Moldova.
Asser Mortensen, Honorary Consul of Moldova in the Kingdom of Denmark, received the Order of Honour for his contribution to the development of Moldovan-Danish economic and trade relations, for his support of civil society, educational projects and citizens of Moldova in Denmark, as well as for promoting the country in the Nordic region.
The decrees were signed by President Maia Sandu on September 30, 2026, and entered into force on the date of signing.
