• Five vehicles donated in Ungheni and Causeni for cultural, sporting and charitable activities will be exempt from import duties.
• National legislation on direct taxation and the calculation of excise duties will be brought into line with European Union rules.
• Moldova is transposing European rules and conditions governing the postal sector into national law.
• Journalists, human rights defenders, civic activists, whistleblowers and members of non-governmental organizations will enjoy greater protection against abusive legal proceedings. The parliament adopted, in final reading, a draft law on combating abusive legal proceedings against public participation.
• The regulatory framework governing irrigation and drainage infrastructure has been updated to facilitate investment in agriculture.
• The date on which horticultural plantations come into production will be determined according to clearer criteria.
• A single legal framework will govern the investigation of accidents and incidents in air, rail and maritime transport.
• The Civil Code has been amended to strengthen the legal framework governing commercial agency relationships.
• The parliament adopted, in first reading, a draft law proposing that the construction and development works for the Moldova HiTech Park Advanced Technologies Park be declared a public utility of national interest. This legal classification will enable the project to be treated as a national priority in terms of developing and strengthening energy infrastructure in the Chisinau–Stauceni metropolitan area.
