Moldovan PM to pay working visit to Brussels

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan will pay a working visit to Brussels on October 4–6, where he will participate in the 10th meeting of the Moldova–European Union Association Council.

The meeting will address developments of Moldova’s process of accession to the European Union, progress in implementing reforms, as well as cooperation in the field of foreign and security policy. Economic and sectoral cooperation between Moldova and the European Union will also be on the agenda. The Association Council meeting will be followed by a news conference.

The PM’s agenda also includes meetings with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas; European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos; European Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jørgensen; European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner and European Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union Maria Luís Albuquerque.

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan will also meet Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General of DG ENEST, and Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever. The PM will also participate in a public event dedicated to the European path of Moldova and will discuss opportunities for economic cooperation and investments with representatives of the Belgian business community.
