Police complete investigation at site of drone explosion in Ivancea
Police completed, overnight, the on-site investigation in the outskirts of Ivancea village, Orhei district, where the location of a drone explosion was identified last night.
According to preliminary information, the detonation of the unmanned aerial vehicle apparently occurred after it collided with trees in a forest strip located in the immediate vicinity of the G72 road, approximately 10 meters from the roadway.
A crater approximately 50 centimeters in diameter and about 30 centimeters deep was identified on the ground. Within a radius of approximately 30 meters, trees were found to have been damaged by the force of the explosion, along with traces characteristic of thermal effects.
Approximately 15 meters from the main explosion site, on the side of the road, two other craters were identified, measuring approximately 50 and 30 centimeters in diameter.
At the same time, several fragments of the aircraft were found within a radius of approximately 120 meters, including rear-wing components marked “Герань-4,” electronic modules, and elements of the propulsion system. Among them was a turbojet engine showing traces of thermal effects.
All components discovered at the site were sent for examination.
