Thousands garbage bags gathered in Chisinau within sanitation of local river

Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ – Over 1,500 persons have participated today in the capital for a sanitation action of the riverbed of Bac. For two hours, the representatives of municipality, associative sector, economic agents, pupils and citizens filled in almost 6,000 garbage bags.

Similarly, with the waste water treatment of the Bac riverbed, within the framework of today action, there were collected the waste around the rivers that cross the capital, such as Durlesti, Malina Mica, Holbocica, but also the water basins of the city, including the lake of Valea Trandafirilor, street Mihai Viteazul and road Muncesti.

In the morning, acting Mayor Ruslan Codreanu, together with volunteers and employees of the municipality, participated in the cleaning of the Bac riverbed on segment of streets Ismail and Lunca Bacului.

The local public administration (ALP) in Chisinau thanked the citizens and representatives of the associative sector, which involved actively next to sanitation services employees in cleaning action today.

The spring sanitation campaign was launched in Chisinau in early March. Within it, the local authorities (AL) will carry out more actions to which the city's inhabitants are invited to participate. Thus, on 30 March, there will be planted 10,000 trees in different city areas. On 13 April, the citizens of Chisinau expect the general cleaning of the parks and park forests, and on 20 April it is planned the general cleanliness of the yards of blocks – of – flats.
