The Medical Worker's and Pharmacist's Day is marked in Moldova today. On this occasion, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has conveyed a congratulatory message to all employees of the healthcare system.
“On the third Sunday of June, we celebrate medical workers and pharmacists across the country. I extend my congratulations to all of you on your professional day. I wish you health and strength, in order to carry out your work with dignity every day,” said Igor Grosu at the Parliament meeting on June 13.
The speaker emphasized that the biggest investment in the healthcare system Moldova to date, exceeding three billion lei, had been made in recent years. The funds have been used to purchase modern equipment and renovate medical institutions. Igor Grosu said that the investments in this area would continue.
At the same time, the parliament speaker highlighted that the most important investment of the healthcare system represents the medical employees themselves.
“All these investments mean nothing without you, ladies and gentlemen physicians. You, dear doctors, future doctors, are the real investment. You are the medical system; you are the pillar for a healthy Moldova. We promise to stand by you and continue to modernize medical institutions with the most advanced equipment, in order to help you work in a comfortable environment and save as many human lives as possible. Thank you! May you live to safeguard our health and continue doing so at home, in Moldova,” Igor Grosu added.
