President Maia Sandu today conveyed a message of gratitude and appreciation for all physicians, medical assistants, pharmacists, paramedics and the entire healthcare staff, on the occasion of Medical Worker’s and Pharmacist's Day. The President thanked them for each.
“Today, we celebrate Medical Worker’s and Pharmacist's Day in Moldova today. I send my best wishes to all the doctors, medical assistants, pharmacists, paramedics, and the entire healthcare staff — and I thank them for each life saved. In the face of pain, uncertainty and difficult moments, you stay dedicated to those who need help,” said Maia Sandu.
The Moldovan president thanked the medical workers for choosing to serve here, at home, with care and dedication for the health of all citizens of Moldova.
Maia Sandu also said that the investments in recent years in modernizing medical institutions and the work of employees in the field contributed to building a modern and European health system.
“Every intervention, every gesture of empathy saves not only lives, but also hope. We are grateful that you chose to stay and take care of our health here, at home. Alongside you, every renovated hospital ward, each modern piece of equipment that has arrived in the country, gains meaning and represents another brick in constructing a modern and European healthcare system,” the head of state said.
