Over 30 people, mostly from the Transnistrian region, were taken to Centru and Buiucani police stations for investigation following a protest organized yesterday in front of the Parliament by the Patriotic Bloc.
The police announced that they have information indicating that people are being promised money for participating in the protest in the capital, facts confirmed during the hearing of documented persons. According to video recordings, the sums range between 100 and 250 euros. Among the documented persons is a woman with Russian Federation citizenship.
Following investigative measures, law enforcement agencies prepared 24 reports for "Violation of rules regarding the organization and conduct of public assemblies", "Hooliganism", and "Failure to fulfill obligations of child maintenance, education, and training", applicable to the legal representatives of minors.
"The actions of the police were conducted in strict compliance with the legal framework, aiming to prevent incidents, maintain public order, and ensure the safety of all persons present," stated the General Police Inspectorate.
The institution reiterated that it respects citizens' rights to peaceful assembly and free expression, but notes that "these rights must be exercised within the limits provided by law." Additionally, the law enforcement bodies warn that "involving minors in such actions is illegal."
