Nicolae Testemitanu Medical University of Moldova to organize various activities for World Heart Day

The Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) will organize a flash mob for the World Heart Day. The event aims to promote the importance of adopting a sound lifestyle.

The event, titled Don't Miss a Beat, will take place on September 26, outside the University's Central Teaching Block (165 Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd), starting from 10:00.

The schedule also includes interactive and community information activities. These involve: interviews with passersby, in order to discuss lifestyle and habits that impact heart health; distributing informative materials and messages promoting a sound lifestyle, to maintain a strong and functional heart.

At the same time, there will be a mini-exhibition titled, The Heart in the Artist's View – a painting by Anastasia Abiliva, a fourth-year student at Faculty of Medicine No. 1, as well as a work by visual artist Dorin Nebunu.

The event will be attended by 25 students from the Faculty of Medicine No. 1, resident doctors and members of the USMF community.

Through this initiative, USMF Nicolae Testemitanu promotes health education and cardiovascular disease prevention among the population.

The World Heart Day is annually marked on September 29.
