About 450 young people admitted to first year of residency studies at Nicolae Testemitanu Medical University of Moldova
The 449 young specialists who passed the admission contest for postgraduate residency studies at the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) have participated in the traditional general assembly before the start of the academic year.
Vice-Rector for Clinical Activity Management, University Lecturer Marcel Abras assured the resident physicians that they were expected in hospitals and encouraged them to integrate into on-call teams and deliver the medical assistance volume as provided in each specialty curriculum, so that they can become very good specialists.
‘’Today you start your residency studies in an almost European Moldova, and I hope you will finish them when Moldova is integrated into the European Union, where you will have the right to practice freely anywhere, for which you need very good theoretical knowledge and practical skills. We, who are part of the clinical foundations, will pass on everything we know best, and I urge you to integrate actively,’’ said Marcel Abras.
University Lecturer, Dean of the Residency Faculty Sanda Buruiană welcomed the young people to their new status as resident physicians and pharmacists.
“Postgraduate residency studies represent a new step in your career, with an enhanced level of responsibility. Dear resident physicians, the dean's team is with you both in beautiful moments and in situations where you will face certain challenges. Only through an open dialogue we will have an effective collaboration,’’ said Sanda Buruiană.
