VIDEO // University admissions start in Moldova; education minister announces higher scholarships, better conditions for students

Admissions to higher education institutions of Moldova start on July 27, and candidates will be able to submit their applications online via the platform www.eadmitere.gov.md. Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun is urging high school and college graduates to choose universities from the country, emphasizing that this year higher scholarships and improved study conditions are being offered.

Dan Perciun said that the process of admission to universities of Moldova would start on July 27 and, as in previous years, will take place through the online platform www.eadmitere.gov.md.

“University admissions in Moldova are starting with higher scholarships and better study conditions. We are looking forward to welcoming all high school and college graduates to choose universities of the country. We remind you that application files can be submitted online on the www.eadmitere.gov.md platform. For this, an electronic signature is required,” the minister said.

According to Dan Perciun, those who encounter difficulties in using the platform can contact the universities directly, where trained staff will help them complete and submit their application electronically.

“Those who are not familiar with digital procedures can go directly to the university where they want to apply. They will be assisted there by specially trained staff to submit their application in the electronic system, even if they do not have an electronic signature,” the minister of education noted.

In Moldova, 16 higher education institutions are operating – 11 public and five private. For the 2026–2027 academic year, the government has approved 9,013 state-funded places for public universities, intended for bachelor’s, master’s, residency, clinical secondary studies and doctoral studies. A video related to this announcement is available on the Facebook page of the Education and Research Ministry.
