Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration meets Ambassador of Romania
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri has had a meeting with the Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Cristian-Leon Turcanu.
The current governmental priorities in the field of national reintegration policies and the activities planned to this end for the immediate future were the main topics of discussion between the two officials.
At the meeting, Valeriu Chiveri reiterated that Moldova’s authorities were in the process of promoting draft normative acts that would contribute to a better fiscal and customs reintegration of the economic operators from the Transnistrian region, as well as finalizing the mechanism for the operationalization of the Convergence Fund, which will bring even more benefits to residents living in the eastern districts of the country.
The deputy PM expressed sincere thanks to Romania for its constant support to Moldova, including through projects meant for both banks of the Dniester River, in the fields of education, culture, economic development and strengthening of energy security.
At the end of the meeting, the officials reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a permanent dialogue and close cooperation, further capitalizing on collaboration opportunities in areas of common interest.
