PHOTO GALLERY // Diaspora at home: Images from largest gathering of Moldovans from abroad

Over 500 Moldovans living abroad are taking part today in the Diaspora Forum, held at the Palace of the Republic. Compatriots had the opportunity to engage in dialogue with President Maia Sandu, Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, asking questions and sharing their views on developments in the Republic of Moldova and on ways in which the diaspora can contribute to the country’s development.

The atmosphere of the event, the emotions of reunions, and the faces of Moldovans who came from different corners of the world were captured by MOLDPRES photojournalist Mihai Vengher.

The event is organized within the Diaspora Days 2026, which take place throughout August under the slogan “Wherever we are, Moldova unites us!”. The program includes events dedicated to young people, professionals, leaders of diaspora associations, and all citizens interested in contributing to the development of the Republic of Moldova. The activities are organized by the Diaspora Relations Bureau within the State Chancellery.
