Parliament hosts visit by delegation of Senate of Czech Republic
Chișinău, 21 September 2026 – A group of Czech senators, members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security is visiting the Republic of Moldova on 21 - 23 September.
The Czech senators are scheduled to meet with President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, Speaker Igor Grosu, Deputy Speaker Doina Gherman and members of the Committee on National Security, Defence and Public Order, chaired by Lilian Carp.
On 22 September, 11:45 a.m., Deputy Speaker Doina Gherman and Pavel Fischer, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security of the Senate of the Czech Republic will hold a press conference.
The visit agenda also includes meetings with Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri, Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin and Minister of Defence Anatolie Nosatîi.
The Czech senators will also hold discussions with Valeriu Mija, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexandru Musteața, Director of the Intelligence and Security Service and Viorel Cernăuțeanu, Head of the General Inspectorate of Police.
During the meetings, the officials will discuss a number of current issues, including bilateral cooperation, regional security situation and Moldova's European integration.
