Soldiers and employees of law enforcement institutions are continuing joint training for the military parade dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the proclamation of the Independence of the Republic of Moldova. The exercises also involve more than 100 units of military and special equipment purchased both from the national defense budget and through assistance programs offered by external partners.
The rehearsals of the military units took place under the bridge on Hâncești Road, in the Telecentru district, while the training with military and special equipment was carried out on the national route M3, on the segment between the bridge sector and the L458 road and Băcioii Noi Street.
The Military Parade dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the proclamation of Independence will take place in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) on August 27. The event is part of the program dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova.
“More than 2,000 servicemembers from the National Army, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Intelligence and Security Service, the Ministry of Justice, and the Protection and State Guard Service will take part in the parade. At the same time, 150 veterans of the war for the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs will march in two formations,” the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
Also, color guards made up of servicemembers from Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, France, the Czech Republic, the United States of America, and others will participate in the parade.
“Guests will also be able to see more than 100 units of military and special equipment, purchased both from the national defense budget and through assistance programs offered by external partners. Among them are: light infantry weapons, self‑propelled artillery systems, anti‑aircraft installations, systems for monitoring and protecting the national airspace, and special‑purpose military vehicles in service with the National Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” the institution said.
