Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with members of Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security Committee of Czech Republic's Senate
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today had a working meeting with members of the delegation of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security Committee of the Czech Republic’s Senate, led by the Committee’s Chair, Pavel Fischer.
The discussions addressed developments in the negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement, the security situation in the region, as well as Chisinau’s efforts to resolve the current problems and promote the country’s reintegration policies.
Particular attention was paid to the role of the Convergence Fund in supporting the reintegration process, by financing essential projects in the social, healthcare, education and infrastructure sectors, benefiting residents on both banks of the Dniester.
At the end of the meeting, the deputy PM thanked the Czech Republic for its constant support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova.
