Head of State convenes Security Council

President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu is convening a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) on Monday, September 21. The agenda will include the impact of the international energy crisis on the Republic of Moldova and measures to strengthen national energy resilience in preparation for the cold season.

The meeting will examine the energy situation and the measures needed to strengthen the country's resilience amid challenges in international energy markets.

Following the NSC meeting, at 3:30 p.m., the head of state will hold a press briefing.

Previously, on May 26, Maia Sandu convened a meeting of the National Security Council dedicated to the energy security of the Republic of Moldova. The discussions focused on the impact of global energy market volatility and regional tensions in the Middle East on the country.
