Moldovan singer launches videoclip of song for Eurovision 2021
Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/ - Singer Natalia Gordienko has recently officially launched the videoclip of the song Sugar, with which she will present Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, due in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
According to Natalia Gordienko, the song Sugar is dynamic, joyful, positive, sexual and quite sweet.
Organizers said that the 65th issue of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 would be held in a limited format, because of the coronavirus pandemic. More scenarios are taken into account for the time being. Some artists might be present in Rotterdam, by observing the physical distance and often testing themselves for COVID. The others, however, might remain at home and present their song at the competition from there. It is not known whether the public’s access to the event will be allowed.
„The Eurovision Song Contest will definitely make its welcome return this May despite the pandemic but, in the prevailing circumstances, it is regrettably impossible to hold the event in the way we are used to,” said Martin Österdahl, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The contest was cancelled last year, shortly after the pandemic had begun in Europe. This year, the semifinals will be held on 18 and 20 May and the final – on 22 May. Forty one countries participate in the competition.
