Moldovan humorist writer celebrates 70th birth anniversary

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/- Humorous poet and epigram writer Grigore Dragan turned 70 today.

Grigore Dragan was born on 5 February 1951 in Seliște village, Nisporeni district. In 1973, he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the State University of Moldova. In 1973-1979 he worked as director of the district association of book trade, and from 1979 to 1991 he served as director of the centralized library system Nisporeni. In 1992-2013, he holds the positions of head of Nisporeni District Culture Directorate and main specialist in culture, youth and sports issues.

He is founder and director of the Republican Epigram Festival Efim Tarlapan. Grigore Dragan has participated in several satire and humor festivals (Nisporeni, Vaslui, Cluj, Mizil, Chisinau, etc.). He is included with epigrams and aphorisms in 19 anthologies published in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
