Energocom continues gas procurement for next cold season

Energocom continues the procurement of natural gas required for the 2026–2027 gas year. Companies from several countries, including Romania, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Malta, Austria, and Greece, participated in the new rounds of tenders.

According to Energocom, the products offered for purchase aimed to complete the gas portfolio for the cold season, both for the quarterly period and for monthly deliveries.

Thus, Energocom requested at auction volumes of up to 225,000 MWh for the first quarter of 2027, namely the period January – March 2027. At the same time, for the monthly products for December 2026, January 2027, and February 2027, the requested volumes ranged between 84,000 MWh and 155,000 MWh per product.

The purchases are made through forward-type products, based on a price formula correlated with the TTF Front Month index, according to the quotations published by Argus Media. In this way, contracting in advance allows the securing of the necessary volumes for the delivery period, while the final price is determined later, in accordance with the contractual conditions.

The procurement process is ongoing, and Energocom will continue to organize new rounds of tenders depending on gas needs, the approved strategy, and market conditions. Information on the contracted volumes will be communicated after the completion of the procurement process, in order to ensure fair and competitive tender procedures.
