
Investments of 57 million lei made in central Moldova district through European Village, European Village Express programmes
Funds have been invested in the central Nisporeni district for the modernization of schools, kindergartens and hospitals, as well as for projects that bring water roads and energy to localities in the last four years. Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that, due to good cooperation with mayors and decentralized services, the government's investments brought visible results for people.
During his visit to Nisporeni today, PM Dorin Recean said that, through the European Village and European Village Express programmes, a total of 28 projects had already been completed in the district, with investments amounting to 57 million lei. Another 77 million lei is being invested in 18 new infrastructure and community development projects through the European Village 2 programme.
According to the prime minister, in recent years, 45 km of aqueduct, two artesian wells, a water castle and two pumping stations have been constructed. The investments provide access to drinking water for residents of more villages.
At the same time, 15 million lei were invested in the medical system: the Nisporeni district hospital was equipped with a photovoltaic plant, a modern oxygen production system, intensive care equipment, medical beds and furniture, anesthesia and resuscitation devices and equipment for the operating block.
Another 11.5 million lei was invested in better schools and kindergartens for children. Kindergartens in Varzaresti, Barboieni, Cristesti have been renovated and equipped. At the Gymnasiums in Milesti and Zberoaia, sports halls have been rehabilitated. The Mircea Eliade Theoretical Lyceum from Nisporeni is becoming a model school, thanks to investments in the modernization and equipping of the institution. The Balauresti Gymnasium and the Mircea Eliade Lyceum will have new sanitary blocks.
“Important roads are already completed: 2 km of road in Bolduresti village and 4.5 km between Siscani and Marinici. This year, another 3 road sections will be rehabilitated by the government through the Europe is Close programme, with investments of over 19 million lei,’’ noted Dorin Recean, during his visit to the Nisporeni district today.
At the same time, 786 families from the Nisporeni district have used vouchers to purchase household appliances and seven individual houses and 11 public institutions benefited from financial aid for the setting of energy-saving technologies or works of buildings’ energy rehabilitation.
‘’All projects implemented in the Nisporeni district show that Moldova is moving in the right direction - towards a European future, built here at home, with investments that bring comfort, safety and better living conditions for people,’’ Dorin Recean added.
