Moldova hosts Kettlebell World Championship
Over 500 sportspeople from about 30 countries are expected at the Chisinau Arena, where the Kettlebell World Championship (kettlebell lifting) will take place on June 4-7. This is one of the most important international competitions dedicated to this discipline.
The event will bring together athletes in the junior, senior, masters, and para-kettlebell categories, providing a top-level competitive platform for sportspeople from all over the world.
The state secretary in the sports field, Sergiu Gurin, thanked the relevant Federation for its efforts in organizing and hosting the World Championship in Moldova. Gurin emphasized the importance of this event for promoting sport and strengthening the country’s image internationally.
Moldova will be represented at the competition by 35 sportspeople, who will compete at all age categories. Last year, the country hosted the European Kettlebell Championship, where Moldovan athletes won 44 medals. The organization of the Kettlebell World Championship in Moldova is financially supported by the Education and Research Ministry.
