Fuel prices are going down in Moldova; petrol price drops below threshold of 31 lei

Fuel prices continue their downward trend. Drivers will pay up to 0.3 lei less per one liter of fuel on May 29, while the price of petrol drops below the 31 lei threshold.

According to data by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), one liter of petrol on May 29 will be sold for no more than 30.91 lei, which is by 0.30 lei less than today.

At the same time, diesel fuel is becoming cheaper by 0.29 lei and will cost 28.67 lei.

The maximum retail prices for standard oil products are set by ANRE, taking into account the average value of Platts quotations, the official average exchange rate of the national currency against the U.S. dollar, the specific commercial margin, excise duties and the value added tax (VAT) rates.
