Over 1,000 sparkling wines from 29 countries to be evaluated by jury made up of more than 50 international tasters
Moldova on September 5-7 is hosting, for the first time, one of the most prestigious international competitions in the wine world - the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
Over 1,000 sparkling wines from 29 countries will be blind-tasted by a jury of more than 50 international tasters, including 3 Masters of Wine.
Present at the official opening of the competition, Andrian Digolean, the state secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, emphasized the importance of this moment:
"Hosting a competition of the magnitude of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is an honor. Moldova thus asserts itself as a place of authentic vine-growing and wine-making tradition and as a promoter of internationally recognized innovation and excellence. For years, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has set a high standard of quality and reliability. This is a platform where the world's best sparkling wines are blind-tasted by world-class experts."
The event also features producers, oenologists, sommeliers and journalists all over the world.
The competition is organized by the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, with the support of the National Office of Vine and Wine.
